Nicole Scherzinger Worried X Factor USA Job Would Affect Music Career

Whilst Cheryl Cole sat with baited breath waiting for the phone to ring with Simon Cowell telling her that she had got the job on the X Factor USA, the same couldn't be said for Nicole Scherzinger.
The star, who will co-host the X Factor USA with Steve Jones when the show premieres in the autumn has revealed that she was having second thoughts about accepting the job because she didn't want it affecting her number one priority...her music.

Talking to BBC 1's Newsbeat, the Hold Your Breath star said: "I was really excited but I had my own reservations just because I came out with my album Killer Love and my music is number one to me.

"I just want to get it out there so I wanted to make sure it wouldn't get in the way of promoting the music."

Luckily, the star found out that she didn't need to worry because, "Simon's just been really supportive of it."

Speaking about her role, the star added: "Honestly I had such a great time on the show. It's such a phenomenon. I love Simon, so it was an honour that they asked me to be a part of the US version."
