Rebecca Black forced YouTube to pull her record-breaking music video for "Friday" off the site late last week, and details are coming out as to why. Black's label Ark Music Factory added a fee of $2.99 to rent the song, prompting Black to take action to remove it.
"Thanks for all the messages regarding the $2.99 fee added to Friday video, I have NOTHING to do with this!!" she noted on her Twitter account as soon as she was aware. According to the Hollywood Reporter, Ark has already earned "high six figures" for the song's YouTube views.
