Rest assured, PETA, Pink, and everyone else. Selena Gomez has dropped the horses from her new music videos.
While Gomez was set to feature some pink-painted ponies for her music video for new single “Love You Like a Love Song,” they won’t actually make the final cut of the video.
According to E!, Gomez thought the horses were going to be colored in post-production using visual effects, although the horses were painted using nontoxic, vegetable-based powder paint.
New mom Pink will be happy to hear the news. The 31-year-old “F—in’ Perfect” singer tweeted in protest when she heard about Gomez’s video shoot.
“If there are any animal activists around Malibu-at Leo Cabrillo State Beach, there are horses being painted for a stupid music video,” Pink tweeted. “Artists should be more aware and responsible for their actions.”
E! will air the first look at Gomez’s “Love You Like a Love Song” video, featuring no horseplay, “E! News” June 22nd.
